Administrative Services

Reminders

We all lead busy lives and we understand that sometimes it is difficult to remember when regular appointments are due.

At Good Health we utilise both computerised, telephone and letter reminder systems for many important appointments. These may include health checks, immunisations, women’s health, long appointments and care plans.

Over time we are increasing our use of electronic media for patients who request it. For those of you who are not computer or mobile phone literate, the good news we will send you a letter instead.

SMS Reminders

Good Health is committed to expanding and developing the SMS reminders system to appropriately and effectively help you to manage your care, prevent disease and reduce the risk of hospital admission or exacerbation’s of known chronic illness.

Two days prior to your appointment you will be receive an SMS reminder of your appointment time. The reminder will ask for confirmation so unwanted appointments can be made available for other patients.

Patients who wish to receive SMS reminders but have not updated their mobile phone numbers or wish to opt out of this service can advise reception by phone or email to admin@goodhealth.net.au

Unwanted SMS Reminders

As we expand our use of SMS Reminders there are maybe circumstances where patients receive reminders not relevant to them for some reason not known to us. I f this happens to you and you do not wish to receive a particular reminder please email the surgery to: admin@goodhealth.net.au or give us a call on 0249394777.

If by chance you received an irrelevant reminder please advise us by email, saying that you no longer want to receive it and the reason.

Interpreter service

If you believe you may need an interpreter or if you are hearing impaired. Please speak to our friendly reception staff so we can organise an interpreter for you.

Telephone calls to your doctor

There may be times when you feel you need to speak to your doctor. In the interests of privacy and optimal patient care your doctor may not be available at the time of your call. Our receptionists will take your details for your doctor to return your call. If the matter is urgent please tell reception.

Repeat prescriptions

We always recommend a personal visit for repeat prescriptions as we believe this is in your best interest however if the need arises for a repeat prescription of a regular medication you can make a request from our reception staff who will then speak to the doctor.

Please note: Prescriptions for some  restricted  drugs such as opiod pain killers will not be available through this service. You must make an appointment with your doctor.

There is an out of pocket cost for this service.

Obtaining your results
