The independent practitioners working from this practice aim to provide the best service and practice possible within the primary health setting. They aim to incorporate new, technological, and evidence based holistic medicine quickly and efficiently into the everyday care you receive.

The fee policy set by the independent practitioners reflects all the costs associated in providing a high quality and relevant service in an efficient and sustainable manner. We ask all  patients to ask themselves whether the service provided by the independent doctor, nurses and reception staff meet these criteria and we encourage to you to provide feedback  so they can continuously improve.

In recent years a combination of government policy and advances in medical technology have created a mismatch between Medicare rebates  and the real cost of provision  of high  quality consultations and health care. The independent practitioners offer services in several areas of primary care with an emphasis is on providing superior service , including accurate diagnostic skills and effective holistic management.

Good Health Greenhills is NOT a bulk billing practice.

Full payment of fees is required by the independent practitioners at the time of consultation. If you need to cancel your appointment. The independent practitioners requires 2 hours notice or you will incur a $25 fee. Missed appointments will incur a $25 fee. Transfer of Medical Records incurs a fee of $35 which must be paid prior to the records being sent.

Private Fees charged by the independent practitioners as of 1st August 2023

Please note: A $5.00 surcharge applies for Saturday morning appointments.

Some appointments such as such as short follow up appointments may attract a fee discount. This will be offered at your doctors’ discretion.

Maximising your government rebates

If you are on a low budget and find the cost of your healthcare a burden please see the advice below to minimise your healthcare costs: Patients with a chronic disease (Chronic disease is one that has been (or is likely to be) present for 6 months or longer) can be managed with a GP Management Plan (GPMP). These care plans usually comprise of one major care plan appointment per year and up to 3 care plan review appointments per year. Examples of conditions that are often managed this way are diabetes, heart disease, significant arthritis, Parkinsons disease and asthma amongst others. As well as planning your care these appointments can suffice for renewals for routine prescriptions related to your chronic disease.

Part of your care planning can include referral to allied health professionals such as dieticians, physiotherapists and podiatrists and entitles you to Medicare rebates on referral from your independent GP to a total 5 allied health visits per year (10 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders).

Patients who have a care plan and are diagnosed with a new chronic disease or who are discharged from hospital after a serious illness within the 12 month period may be entitled to have a new care plan at the discretion of the doctor.

Those patients on Chronic Disease Care plans are also entitled to have simple procedures like B12 injections or BP checks attended and bulk billed up to 5 times per year.
